Morello's Google's Search Appliance (GSA) Plug-in
brings the power of Google Search to your website, enabling your site
visitors to have features they have become accustomed to using like
"did you mean?" or "more like this".
Morello has a powerful and extensible metadata model, including the ability to automatically create keywords that describe your content and to associate it with taxonomy structures. The Morello GSA plug-in enables the Google indexer to leverage all of that enriched content, enabling your site searches to not only find results based on the content displayed on the page, but to understand a deeper context through this metadata and deliver search results that are more relevant. So for example you may wish to search for content by a certain author, or that was published between certain dates or to expose links to content on the same subject - links that may not be obvious to the search engine, but are the relevant to your organisation and to your visitors.
Documents are also included in your search, meaning no need to tag your Microsoft Word documents or Adobe PDF files with specific keywords; your Google Search Appliance will search inside these documents for you.
Of course, your enterprise may have other sources of valuable information you would like to search. For example, you may have a database holding key customer information, You may have a directory on a server that stores your HR procedures in PDF documents. No problem. Your Google Search Appliance can search within these repositories too and make them available to your website's Morello Search meaning users can find the information they want.
